Wednesday: Brownie 1

Today we started the day with some songs after we hiked up to the camp.

(as you can see from the video below of one of the camp songs, our helpers Racoon, Clover, and Maddison are pretty awesome and know how to have a good time with our girls!)

We did our tie-dye in the morning (sorry, forgot to take pics!).  We sent home a sheet with the finishing information on it.  You should not start the finishing of the tie-dye until after the 24 hours is elapsed. It can be completed later, but it needs at least 24 hours for the dye to set.

We did more letterboxing work today, finding boxes in groups of 2.

We were visited by a friend from Wesselman Nature Center,  who brought 3 turtles: one snapping turtle and a male and female box turtle.  We now know how to tell the difference between a male and female box turtle.  We hiked down to campus after that, so that we could be close to our shelter in case storms came up.

The Junior girls taught us about fire, with our afternoon snack of edible fire.  We learned a game from another Junior unit, "Heads Up Seven Up".  It was soon time to head to pickup.  Another busy day.
Please make sure your daughter has a full water bottle with her each day.  It doesn't have to be the one we supplied, but she should have a full water bottle. Tomorrow is spirit day, so wear a shirt for your favorite team!

Getting a feel for college... hahaha!
